The Extravaganza Fair rolled up to Cromwell’s Big Fruit Reserve last weekend, bringing all the corners of Central Otago together.
There was singing, and sweet treats and sack races and plenty of brightly coloured smiling faces all together.
The fair arrived in Cromwell for the seventh stop of its tour around the country, which runs until April.
Fair organiser Mels Burg spoke to The News on Saturday about the show, as she made coffees in her caravan.
"It’s a great way to travel and work.
"I’ve brought up both my kids on the road and there’s so much to do in New Zealand and even after all these years, we’re still finding new places."
The fair, now on its 10th-anniversary lap around the country, has been coming to Cromwell for the past four years.
"Even though Cromwell is a small town, it has a real city vibe. I think it’s because a lot of people move here from somewhere else."
She says the fair attracted a few hundred people, and it was great to see the tourists back in the crowd too.
"We’ve missed them over the past few years."
The fair is a market/festival that is held at different towns and cities across New Zealand. Entry is free for children and by gold coin for adults.
