Women gathered across Central Otago and Upper Clutha to raise money for breast cancer at various Pink Ribbon events this month.

In Clyde $1200 was raised at a morning tea held at Aurum.

Pink was everywhere — including the food. Even the cream on the scones had a rosy tint.

Winners of best dressed at the Clyde Lions-organised event, Averill Wybrow and Sue Attwood, each took home a $50 Woolworths voucher.

Clyde Lions member Sue Noble-Adams said the event was so successful and well received they would do it again next year.

Wanaka women gathered at Ukiyo Salon & Co to hear two key speakers — Dr Chloe Horner, from Wanaka Medical, and Lo Roxburgh of The Body Whisperer.

Salon manager Harriet Shirtcliff said that with an all-women team, it was a bit of a "no-brainer" for the business to get behind a cause that impacted many New Zealand women.

There was huge community support for the event, with many local businesses contributing to the silent auction and raffles.

The MAK Experience provided the food, and Nanny Goat Vineyard the drinks.

More than $6500 was raised during the evening.

"We are so proud to be a part of this community and how much we raised for the cause."
