Golf

Fourteen clubs competed in the Aorangi Women’s Stylemaster competition, held at the Waimate Golf Club on June 20 in very wet conditions.

Two pairs from each club played a foursomes competition and the team with the best combined net score won the Stylemaster Tray. The Timaru team finished with a net score of 154.5.

Timaru Team: Miranda Woodall and Raelene Bleeker (78.5 net) plus Chris Turnbull and Jude McKenzie (76), 154.5.

Winning the Methven Jug for being the best pair not in the winning team at the Aorangi Women’s Stylemaster competition were Mayfield’s Sanae Hydes (left) and Lal Mulligan.
Runner-up, Lower Waitaki 158, Dawn Plew and Hayley Roache (77) and Sandra McGookin and Shirley Elliott (81).

The Methven Jug winners, the best pair not in the winning team, were Mayfield’s Sanae Hydes and Lal Mulligan (net 75).

The twos were taken by the Ashburton pair of Marilyn Walker and Brenda Whittaker.
