A closed circuit television camera belonging to the Queenstown police was allegedly damaged by three men on Saturday evening. The men allegedly damaged a nearby car and realised the CCTV camera would have footage of the act. They approached the camera in Camp St and allegedly shook the pole to damage it. Police are investigating the footage.
• A 33-year-old Australian man was spoken to by police after he ate food at the Fresh Choice Supermarket without paying for it on Saturday evening.
• A group of men were questioned by police on Saturday night after "acting suspiciously" in a nightclub's bathroom. Senior Sergeant Chris Blackford said a bouncer had reported suspicious behaviour, but no incriminating evidence was found.
• A 28-year-old New Zealand man living in Australia who was visiting Queenstown was charged with fighting in a public place after an alleged incident near the Old Man Rock cafe and bar early on Sunday.
The incident was reported at 2.20am when a doorman at the bar called police.
• A 51-year-old Australian man was arrested and charged with assault after allegedly taking exception to the speed at which a vehicle was travelling in Rees St and causing an altercation with the driver.
