Parents, teachers and pupils at Hawea Flat School did not have to worry about having breakfast and getting dressed for school on Tuesday - they just rolled out of bed and came as they were.
A breakfast pyjama party was the school's way of raising funds for child cancer as part of Child Cancer Foundation Appeal Week.
Hash browns, scrambled eggs and bacon sandwiches were provided by the PTA and the flannelette-clad participants each gave a small donation raising $425.
Teacher aide and office administrator Danielle Meyer-Budge said everyone, including teachers and about 20 parents, had a great time and made the most of the opportunity to parade their comfy sleepwear during the day. Even principal Sue Heath was still in her pyjamas and slippers during lunch break.
‘‘It's quite funny, it doesn't feel like we should be working,'' Mrs Meyer-Budge said.
