Netball: Super Steel maintain unbeaten run

The Steel upset the Magic 65-58 in Invercargill today to slip into the top four of the ANZ Championship.

The Steel has now won four games in a row which equals the franchise record.

For once, the home team was not carried single-handedly to victory by Jamaican international Jhaniele Fowler. The star shooter was fantastic with 44 goals from 46 attempts, but this was a complete team effort.

Captain Jodi Brown stepped up her efforts in the shooting circle with 21 from 24.

Defenders Rachel Rasmussen and Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick can take of lot of the credit as well. The pair created a lot of extra scoring opportunities with some suffocating defence.

And the midcourt duo of Courtney Tairi and Phillipa Finch provided some silver service for their shooters. Wing defence Wendy Frew backed up a fine effort last week with another top performance.
