Dunedin Technical supporters will invade Kaikorai Valley this weekend when Roslyn-Wakari hosts its neighbour in two potentially season-defining matches.
Today, FootballSouth Premier League leader Technical will be primed and ready for its final game when it plays second-placed Roslyn Wakari at Ellis Park.
A win for Technical will allow the bubbly to be uncorked.
Tomorrow, the Technical women's team, leading its league, will also play second-placed Roslyn-Wakari at Ellis Park, with valuable points on offer as each team strives for the championship.
The Technical women have a three-point lead but Roslyn has a game in hand. The teams drew 2-2 in their previous fixture and little is likely to separate them in what should be an entertaining game.
In the men's league, Roslyn will be looking to reverse the previous league meeting in April, when Technical grabbed a 1-0 win in a tight tussle at the Caledonian Ground.
The home side will be missing Tom Connor, who has succumbed to a hip injury, while left-sided midfielder Mike Sannum is in doubt, also due to a hip injury, and will need to pass a late fitness test to participate in the match.
Dunedin Technical will be without the suspended George Milne and will miss Nikiti Meglinski, who is out of town, while veteran Richard Smith will be hoping to be passed fully fit this morning after nursing his way back to match fitness following a groin injury.
Third-placed Caversham, which is still in the title hunt, will play Northern at Tonga Park, and will be checking cellphones at the end of each half for score updates from Ellis Park.
Caversham, last year's champion, will be hoping for a draw between Roslyn and Technical.
Caversham will be without Bradley Scott (groin injury) and will also miss Simon Ward (hamstring) and Charles Owen (ankle).
Northern will be looking for a good final hit-out in its last game. Coach Murray Deveraux will field a full-strength team including the return of central defender Norbert Dreyer, back from overseas.
Old Boys, two points behind eighth-placed Queenstown, will be hosted at Ocean Grove by Grants Braes.
Old Boys will be hoping it leaves its best until last as a win over Braes may be enough to climb above Queenstown and maintain premier status for 2014.
University will host Mosgiel at the Caledonian, and Green Island will entertain Queenstown Rovers at Sunnyvale.
