Green Island 99 all out bt
North East Valley 69 by 30 runs

Green Island looked to be out of the running after it batted at Sunnyvale but turned it round with a top bowling display.

The home side never got going with the bat and not one player made it to 20. It lasted into the 43rd over to rack up 99 with the wickets being shared around the Valley bowlers.

North East Valley must have been reasonably confident going into bat and even at 60 for six wickets it must have thought it had some chance of a win.

But Bradley Scott turned the match with a couple of quick wickets and North East Valley came up 30 runs short. Scott took three wickets while Dion Lobb took the top off the order with four wickets.

Taieri 165 all out lost to Albion 166 for seven wickets by three wickets

Taieri might have fancied its chances after racking up 165 in just over 54 overs at Brooklands but a partnership between Taylor Cumberland and Mark Sommerville got Albion home.

Taieri took a long time to score its runs and by the 50-over mark has not even racked up 150. Extras were a big contributor with 30 runs.

In reply, Albion was struggling as Jack Hunter bowled a fiery spell for Taieri.

Cumberland and Sommerville came together with the side in trouble at 117 for seven wickets but both stood tall. Sommerville ended up unbeaten on 45 while Cumberland made 25.

The Taieri bowlers shared the wickets around but it was a game which got away from the home team.

University Grange 250 bt
Otago Boys' 84 by 156 runs

There was only one side in it at Logan Park as University Grange dominated Otago Boys' High School.

Nik Swain held the Grange innings together and notched up an undefeated century. Cameron McAuslan took six wickets for Otago Boys', who could not quite put the Grange batsmen to bed.

When it came the Otago Boys' High School turn to bat the school side never got going. McAuslan and Max Chu were the only two batsmen to make double figures as the youngsters failed to get anywhere near the target.

Carisbrook-Dunedin 183 all out bt
Kaikorai 152 all out by 31 runs

Carisbrook-Dunedin overcame a terrible start to get home over Kaikorai at Tonga Park.

Half the Carisbrook-Dunedin side was back in the pavilion with only 20 runs on the board.

But Kane McKay with 56 and Taylor McCormack with 32 and some hitting from the tail set up a competitive total.

Kaikorai lost wickets at regular intervals and although Geordie Scott hit 44 it was not enough and Kaikorai fell well short. Chris Ware and Rhys Phillips grabbed four wickets each.
