Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of a person riding a bike in Wānaka.
In a statement, police said emergency services were called to a serious crash at the intersection of State Highway 84 and Anderson Rd about 3.50pm on Saturday.
A spokeswoman confirmed today that the person who died was riding a bike, but no further details were available.
The Serious Crash Unit has examined the scene and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are continuing.
Police would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed the crash, or who might have dashcam footage.
"We’d encourage anyone who may have seen the crash to come forward," the spokeswoman said.
