Singer-songwriter-harpist, recording artist and master of ceremonies Katie Targett-Adams will play at the Thomas Brown Gallery, Speargrass Flat, for the benefit of Cure Kids on Saturday, October 6.
A Princes' Trust ambassador, the Edinburgh-born Oxford University graduate performed at the opening of the Scottish Parliament in the presence of the Queen, for J.K. She was Scotland's "Music and Culture Icon" in 2004 and won the United Kingdom Songwriting Contest in 2007, the same year she released her sixth album.
The gallery concert will be complemented by a silent auction featuring a retro portrait of TSS Earnslaw by artist Thomas Brown, a catered dinner for six by chef Brendan Downer, golf for four including cart at Millbrook, one night's accommodation for two with breakfast at Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown and signed album CDs by Targett-Adams.
The event begins with refreshments at 7pm and the concert begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost $85, to cover expenses, and are available from the gallery, the Lakes District Museum, Arrowtown, and Unichem Wilkinsons Pharmacy. All proceeds go to Cure Kids.
