Queenstown police launched a search and rescue operation last night after a woman failed to return from a walk.
A police communications spokesman said the alarm was raised at 7.30pm after the woman failed to return from walking the Ben Lomond Moonlight Track.
Last night, a search and rescue team was walking the track from the Arthurs Point end, in an effort to locate the woman. Further details were unavailable last night.
