A lip-synching drag queen contest and a fashion afternoon celebrating fitness are two new events announced for the Queenstown Winter Festival, which launches on June 26.
Alternative entertainment venue 12Bar is getting into the spirit with its inaugural Queen of Queenstown contest, to be held on Saturday, June 27.
Both men and women are invited to dress up as the fairer sex and lip-synch their favourite song. The free-entry evening starts at 6pm, with the competition beginning at 10pm.
Meanwhile, Lindauer returns to the party with the first Ladies Fashion Afternoon, at the Millennium Hotel, on Tuesday, June 30.
A dozen Wakatipu ladies were selected from a 12-week course at Pulse Fitness aimed at developing catwalk skills.
