One of the largest numbers of stalls on a single market day will provide plenty of shopping opportunities at Remarkables Park this month when the Remarkables Market reopens its doors as part of the Queenstown Winter Festival programme.
Market manager Sherryn Smith said the June 30 market would have a wide variety of local food, artisans' work and other products, including books and crafts, with musician Marc Hamilton providing live entertainment.
The Red Barn doors would be open from 10am to 3pm and while parents browsed the goods on offer, free face painting and a bouncy castle would provide entertainment for children.
"We've had a great response from stallholders who had a hugely successful summer in the Red Barn and are very excited about the return of this special mid-winter market," Ms Smith said.
New stalls included Bella Yum Yum with its range of wheat, gluten, sugar and dairy-free products, including shortbread, tarts and chocolates.
Flying Trestles would also join the market for the first time, offering Khobez wraps with venison, pork belly or beef, and sweet options cinnamon and raisin sticky buns or tangerine and blueberry galette.
Flagstaff Alpacas would bring its 100% grown and made in Otago yarns, fleeces and duvets, and Sarah Ryder Design's soft monkey toys would be on offer, as well as Rubadub soaps and Soapernatural's bath products.
