The Crowne Rangers - general manager Matt Anderson, front of house manager Guy Robinson, meeting director Amy Bohling, Claire Hitchin, and support crew Anshu Naicker and Bronwyn Reid - will take part in the 100km charity hike in Taupo on April 9 and 10.
The Oxfam Trailwalker is an annual fundraising event organised and promoted by Oxfam New Zealand.
The trail is estimated to take 36 hours to complete and teams must begin and end the challenge with four people.
The Crowne Rangers is not only the first team from Queenstown to take on the challenge, but is also believed to be the southernmost team to have entered in the event's five-year history.
Mr Anderson said the fundraising project was about teamwork and engaging the wider community.
"Our hotel family has had great success with charity projects over the past couple of years and we feel quite immersed in it now.
"We've found it's a wonderful bonding experience for colleagues that draws on and builds the Queenstown community spirit.
"The Oxfam Trailwalkers will be fun and challenging - but you don't need to be a marathon runner or a professional athlete to do it, which is why it's perfect for us."
