Artistic producer Kate Ward-Smythe began the search this week for talent to perform alongside some of the nation's best known and celebrated entertainers, both at the two live concerts and in the primetime TV3 broadcast.
Aspiring performers were encouraged to apply to audition online by submitting photos, video footage or a recording with their audition application.
"This will serve as the first stage of the audition process and, if the producers are impressed, the applicant will be invited to attend one of the audition workshops being held in Auckland in late July and Christchurch in early August," Ms Ward-Smythe said in a statement.
