Jenny and Dale Conlon took part in the Show and Shine section of the rally yesterday, displaying the car among others at Anderson Park.
Rally organiser John Martin said the rally was held at Alexandra in 1991, although this year was the first time it had come to Cromwell.
More than 100 people from throughout New Zealand entered their vehicles, the oldest of which was a 1900 Wolseley and the youngest a 1918 Hudson.
Of the 52 cars entered, 49 made it to Cromwell after a few breakdowns along the way, Mr Martin said.
Driver skills were proved in various tests yesterday, before a dinner and award ceremony last night.
