Vincent Community Board member Tim Cadogan has been appointed to the Alexandra Blossom Festival committee as liaison person for supporting events.
Mr Cadogan, a lawyer, from Clyde, will look after the festival's supporting events, which include art exhibitions, golf tournaments, and motorsport events.
He was excited about being part of the committee and looked forward to working with those community members involved in running supporting events to the annual festival.
Mr Cadogan is serving his first term on the Vincent Community Board, after he was elected at a by-election last year.
He works in the Alexandra office of barristers, solicitors, and notaries Bodkins.
The 2009 Contact Alexandra Blossom Festival will open on September 25 and run until October 4.
Among the main events are a race to Alexandra's clock on the hill, a street procession and float parade, fashion event, garden tours, and activities in Pioneer Park.
