An Alexandra man has been taken to Dunstan Hospital with head injuries after a crash north of the Central Otago town early this morning.
Senior Sergeant James Ure, of Dunedin, said the 47-year-old was the only person in the vehicle.
It was towing a trailer and left the road at Chatto Creek on State Highway 85 about 2.50am.
It was too early to say what the cause of the crash was.
