There have been some dark nights in Brockville recently but a recent call to Aurora Energy helped shed light on the problem.
Brockville local Bernie Grant said the lights in Saunders St had been out for almost a month.
He was worried people would find it difficult to see, and one night when he was putting his bins out he almost slipped up on some pebbles.
When he spoke to a neighbour who lived nearby in McDonald St, she said lights had been out in her street as well.
Aurora Energy general manager people and customer Sian Sutton said it would like to thank the member of the public who reported the street lights being out in Saunders St and McDonald St.
"As soon as we were notified about this early on Friday evening we logged this as a fault and sent our 24/7 fault response crew out to investigate."
They discovered a fuse had blown, and the street lights in Travis St and Sander Rd were also impacted, she said.
This was repaired and the lights were now working.
"We remind people to report any street lights out to Aurora Energy on 0800 22 00 05."
