Its co-creator and co-star, Rebecca Gibney, who was born in Levin, has acted in a number of Australian shows, including Packed to the Rafters and Winter.
The project's New Zealand spokeswoman, Tamar Munch, said the production would shoot in a ``variety of South Island locations''.
Auditions were held in Alexandra earlier this month to find 20 to 50 extras for a scene to be shot in the town next week.
The owner of the Criterion Hotel in Alexandra, Tony Flannery, confirmed a scene would be shot at the pub but said he was unable to give more information.
The first season of the series, which is about two women ``on the run from the law and their past'', screened in New Zealand and Australia this year.
Still Vision Casting, of Queenstown, held auditions in Alexandra earlier this month to find 20 to 50 extras for a ``social/bar'' scene.
In online advertisements it said it sought 18- to 60-year-olds to play extras, including a barmaid and guitarist.
The scene would be shot in the town from Monday to Wednesday next week, it said.
