Jayden Cromb was elected board chairman and replaces Tamah Alley, who was elected by councillors to take over the mayoralty until next year’s local government elections following the resignation of Tim Cadogan.
Mr Cadogan resigned in September to take up the Wellington-based role of local government engagement specialist at the water services authority Taumata Arowai.
Mr Cromb, a sixth-generation Central Otago resident and father of three, has more than seven years’ experience in the social service sector and a strong commitment to his community. He currently chairs The Terrace School board of trustees and is involved in the governance of several local charities.
"I have enjoyed the last two years as deputy chair and am honoured to step into the role of chair," Mr Cromb said.
"I look forward to continuing to serve the Vincent community and ensuring that the board plays its role as the voice of our communities."
Roger Browne has been elected as the new deputy chairman.
