A gas leak resulted in the closure of a busy street next to the University of Otago this morning.
A gas main had ruptured and a gas company was there to help the fire crews in responding.
A Fire and Emergency spokesman said two crews responded to the leak in Albany St.

Teams were working to stop the leak and no risk was involved, the spokesman said.
