A man four times the legal alcohol limit is one of two alleged drink-drivers who had their licences suspended in Dunedin over the weekend.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said officers conducted a random stop on a 26-year-old man on the Southern Motorway about 12.30am on Sunday.
The man recorded a breath-alcohol level of 1049mcg — more than four times the legal limit.
Snr Sgt Bond said officers stopped another driver, a 27-year-old man, on Main South Rd about 1.30am on Sunday.
The driver recorded a breath-alcohol level of 808mcg.
Both drivers had their licences suspended and would appear in court in relation to drink-driving charges, Snr Sgt Bond said.
