Costume hire outlet closes

The trust owns the building in Cameron St that the Dunedin Opera Company committee leased to run the hire shop from.

Committee secretary Peter Russell said the committee had been approached by a party interested in buying the business as a going concern.

Negotiations continued and the committee remained hopeful an agreement could be reached. ‘‘Whether it comes off, or doesn't, we don't know.''
