Self-described "massive nerd" Dr Joel is bringing his science-based comedy to Dunedin.

The popular comedian is fascinated with science — keen to devote his mullet-covered brain to the next big discovery in the world of chemistry. And by chemistry, he means partying.

Fresh from a sold-out run at the 2024 NZ International Comedy Festival, Dr Joel brings a rave-minded view from the forefront of science in his show, entitled "Science is No Joke".

He uses the humour he has showcased on Celebrity Treasure Island and Taskmaster Australia to give audiences a fresh perspective on our wild and wacky world.

But be careful, you might accidentally learn something.

Dr Joel will present his "Science is No Joke" show at Tūhura Otago Museum’s Hutton Theatre on Saturday, March 8, at 7pm.

He will also be presenting children’s sessions at the museum from 2pm on March 8.
