Five female rock vocalists will head a full-scale production, paying homage to the best rock artists of the 1970s to now in Rock Divas.
The show opens tonight and runs for five performances until Sunday at the Mayfair Theatre, including two on Saturday.
Produced by DKCM and directed by Doug Kamo, a press release said the Rock Divas features singers Anna Langford, Petra Leonard, Hayley Lyndom, Charlotte Washington and Sophie Whibley, along with a full rock band, to create a top-notch show.
The performers put their own innovative twist on some of the world’s most loved classic rock anthems from the likes of Heart, Pink, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benetar, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Def Leppard, Joan Jet and more.
The high-energy show, choreographed by Emma Donaldson, features state-of-the-art production values and multimedia.
Led by musical director Michael Grant (keyboards), the band comprises assistant musical director Che Long (guitar), Joseph Balph (guitar), Sam Healey (bass), and Jack McRae (drums).
Performance times are Thursday-Friday at 7.30pm, Saturday at 5pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 4pm. — APL
