‘Break a Leg’ takes on a new meaning

The Globe Theatre is excited to present a Globe Youth production this month, — the genre-bending play Break a Leg, by Judi Billcliff.

Directed by Harry Almey and Kay Masters, Break a Leg will run from July 15-20, offering innovation, genre play, and black-box staging.

"The play is a performance competition wherein young performers aim at various nominations, and ultimately the BAFTA — Break a leg Award For Talented amazing Actors," Almey said.

"The competing scenes are within certain genres and Judi Billcliff’s script is both robust and versatile.

"This has allowed the actors to have a hand in devising their performance scenes alongside their directors."

Show times are 6.30pm on weekdays and 2pm on Saturday.
