St Kevin's College ran out 45-15 winners over Mt Aspiring in their Southern Wide Real Estate 1st XV competition match today.
Three early tries saw St Kevin's get off to a fast start, taking a 21-0 lead, a margin their opponents would never haul in. Mt. Aspiring did not go down without a fight though, coming back and scoring two tries of their own to get the score back to 21-10.
St Kevin's crossed for two more tries before half time, while Mt Aspiring managed another one of their own, taking the score to 33-15 at the break.
The second half saw Mt Aspiring held scoreless, while St Kevin's scored a further two tries, to bring their final tally to seven, five of which were converted.
In other results John McGlashan College won a tightly contested game with Otago Boys' High School 2nd XV 11-5.
King's High School beat Kavanagh College 44-16, while Waitaki Boys' High School reached a half-century in beating Dunstan High School 51-36.
South Otago High School continued their impressive form with an emphatic 81-10 win over Taieri College.
