Taranaki's Ben Souness has joined the New Zealand sevens team in Dubai for the second leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series.
Souness replaces Bay of Plenty's Scott Curry, who returned home after suffering an ankle injury during the first tournament of the season in the Gold Coast last weekend.
New Zealand lost to Fiji in the final of the Gold Coast tournament. New Zealand have drawn the United States, Portugal and South Africa in their pool for Dubai this weekend.
