Rugby: Black Fern Nafatalia first-test casualty

Otago inside back Victoria Nafatali has suffered a knee injury and is returning home early from the Black Ferns' tour of England.

Nafatali has strained the posterior-lateral corner of her knee and is expected to be out for between four and six weeks.

She has been replaced by Waikato youngster Chelsea Alley.

The Black Ferns opened their tour with a 16-13 loss to England at Esher RFC, just outside London, at the weekend.

The visitors were up 13-3 early in the match, but England came through to win on the back of a strong forward performance.

There is not much time to rest for either side, with the second test to be played in Aldershot tomorrow morning (New Zealand time).

Black Ferns coach Brian Evans has kept faith with the team which lost the first test and retained the bulk of the team.

Otago prop Kathleen Wilton will play at tighthead, while Kelly Brazier and Claire Richardson will form an all-Otago midfield in the backline.

The third and final test is at Twickenham on Sunday morning (New Zealand time) and will be played two hours after the test between the All Blacks and England, which is at the same ground.

Both games will be broadcast on Sky Television.
