"It was a 50-50 call," Moseley said.
"I have ridden Under Parr in most of his wins and decided to stick with him."
Moseley has ridden Roseline to win her last two starts, at Washdyke last Sunday and Riccarton on June 4.
Lance Robinson has gained the mount on Roseline.
He rode Roseline to win a 2147m maiden at Riverton on May 1.
The Howbaddouwantit mare is owned and trained at Invercargill by John Yeo.
Under Parr has been placed in his last four starts, the most recent the Waimate Cup (1800m) when he finished second to Dream By Day.
The 7yr-old Le Paillard gelding, trained at Washdyke by Fiona Hurst, won over 1600m at Oamaru in May with Kylie Williams the rider.
Moseley has ridden Under Parr in his other five wins.
Williams is the trainer-rider of Musket Mick, who is having his first South Island start in race 8.
The Pins 4yr-old, who has not raced since October, won a 1400m maiden at Tauranga on a dead track in June last year when trained by Jim Collett at Matamata.
Jockey Jamie Bates said he was back in Canterbury until next winter.
Bates rode six winners during a two-month stint in Queensland.
He returned to the New Zealand scene last Sunday two days after riding a winner on the Sunshine Coast.
Star Son left the Ashburton stable of Alex Cowan on Tuesday for Hong Kong following his sale.
He travelled to Cambridge and will enter quarantine.
The winner of four of his seven starts, he has been withdrawn from the Winter Cup at Riccarton next Saturday.
