She will be accompanied by stablemate McKay and Mo Hahn, who is being taken north by Blenheim trainer Dean Hunter.
Storm Light has been in the care of the Dunn stable at different times although officially trained for her seven wins by Stu Campbell, of North Taieri.
She ran third to Sammy Maguire and Pay Me Christian in a free-for-all at Addington at her last start on November 18 and fourth behind Donegal Delight at the New Zealand Cup meeting.
She made the trip to Auckland for the same races last year, finishing third to De Lovely and Beaudiene Bad Babe in the Northern Breeders' Stakes and sixth in the group one Queen Of Hearts won by De Lovely.
John Dunn will make the trip to drive the trio in their races. He has driven Storm Light in two of her wins and Mo Hahn in his four wins.
McKay has shown a liking for racing right-handed. He won three races at Alexandra Park towards the end of last season and was placed in five.
