Springbank Sam and Springbank Richard are booked to begin the journey to Auckland by road tomorrow from the Oamaru stable of Phil Williamson.
They will be quartered with Tony Herlihy at Papakura. Springbank Sam finished second to Here Comes Pat in a trial at Oamaru yesterday.
He has not raced since he finished second to Paramount Geegee in the Harness Jewels in June.
He also finished second to Paramount Geegee in the New Zealand and Northern Trotting Derbies. He won races at Winton, Omakau and Invercargill.
Springbank Richard ran second to Quality Invasion at Orari last Saturday after starting from 40m. He has finished fourth in the Dominion Handicap and third in the Trotters' Mile at Ashburton this season.
The Williamson stable qualified the 3yr-old trotting filly, Miss Pegasus yesterday. She is a daughter of Pegasus Spur and Merinai, the winner of 19 races including the 1997 Dominion Handicap and 1998 Rowe Cup.
Merinai won her first nine races and later she won eight in succession.
She has left the winner, Classic Armbro from her seven foals of racing age.
White Socks is a sound prospect in race 8 at Invercargill today. White Socks did well to finish fifth after an early check at Forbury Park last Thursday.
• Armbro Demon has been scratched at Addington tomorrow night and she will be spelled.
Owner-trainer Chris McLeod said Armbro Demon, the winner of five of her eight starts, would be ready to race again in March.
"She worked brilliantly last week but I was just not happy with the way she drove the last couple of days," McLeod said.
"I will jog her down and spell her for three weeks. She has been in work since April."
