• Tintin In America, the winner of five group one races, will stand at Nevele R Stud, Prebbleton, this spring. He was been sold by the ATC Trot 2008 syndicate. A joint problem has prevented him racing since the Harness Jewels at Cambridge as a 4yr-old in June, 2010.
Tintin In America took a mile record of 1.53.2 as a 3yr-old. He won 16 of his 35 starts and $934,305 in stakes for Geoff Small. The son of McArdle and Zenterfold also won the Harness Jewels at 3, the Australasian Breeders' Crown Final at the same age and the New Zealand Messenger. He also won the Sires' Stakes Final at Addington as a 2yr-old.
• Flash Of Fire has his first start since joining the Patumahoe stable of Ian Small at Alexandra Park on Friday night. Flash Of Fire has won at Winton and Invercargill this year when trained by his Invercargill owner, Brian Nicol.
• Dexter Dunn is leading the world driving championship in the United States after the second round at Tioga Downs yesterday. Dunn, representing New Zealand, had a win with Charismatic and two thirds in the four heats. He has 68 points, a lead of four over Jody Jamieson, of Canada. The third of five rounds is at Montecillo Raceway tomorrow.
• Raymauwarrhen Sun, now 15, has had his return to racing delayed by a foot infection.
"He is in work but has got behind in fitness through a foot infection," Warren Bartlett, his Oamaru trainer, said.
Raymauwarrhen Sun has not raced since September last year.
He finished second in his two starts last season. The Kurow meeting on Sunday will not be the same without Raymauwarrhen Sun, who has resumed there the last five seasons.
Lindt, who joined the Bartlett stable 10 days ago, has been entered for the Kurow meeting.
She was a winner at Forbury Park last month when trained by Graeme Anderson and Amber Hoffman.
• The Wyndham stable of Gordon and Colin Lee has had a second positive swab. Lite Bourbon has tested positive after finishing sixth at Forbury Park on July 12, the Racing Integrity Unit has announced.
The Lee-trained Surreal Moment returned a positive after winning at Forbury Park on June 23.
The Judicial Control Authority has amended a stand-down for a greyhound from three months to 10 days after an appeal by trainer Brent Littlejohn.
The JCA representatives Geoff Hall and A Dooley ordered the $250 deposit for the appeal be refunded to Littlejohn. The original penalty was imposed at the Manukau meeting on July 17 in regard to Karla Lewinsky failing to chase the lure.
The Racing Integrity Unit has withdrawn an appeal to the JCA over the decision not to relegate Planet Rock from third in the Karaka Million. The JCA dismissed a charge against trainers Peter and Dawn Williams, ruling that a breach of swabbing instruction may have led to a compromised sample from Planet Rock.
