Kotare Yaakov could prove too seasoned for his rivals at the Methven meeting tomorrow which has been transferred to Ashburton.

The transfer was made after snow at Methven on Thursday night. The previous snow fall at Methven took considerable time to thaw. The club is also catering for 450 members of Canterbury clubs and arrangements needed to be in place.

Kotare Yaakov resumed racing after a break on July 7. He was runner up in his first three starts and he has won the last two, at Oamaru and Addington.

Anton Oliver, an easy trial winner at Ashburton on August 24, has his first start in race 3 tomorrow.

Gee Itsa Boy, Call Me Danny and Lavros The Great were other trials winners engaged tomorrow. Gee Itsa Boy subsequently finished third at Addington.

Call Me Danny is resuming from an eight-month break.

Lavros The Great, who is having his first start, is a brother of the well-performed trotter, Delft.

Highview Kiwi, a last-start winner at Oamaru on August 7, could overcome a wide draw in race 8.

• The stake of the New Zealand Sires' Stakes Final for 3yr-old colts and geldings at Addington on on November 8 has been increased $20,000 to $200,000.
