Peter Chambers made the trip from Jakarta to see his horses race at Ashburton on Saturday and he was rewarded with wins by Shezoneoftheboyz (New Zealand Hambletonian) and Jumanji Franco.
Chambers, an Australian who is an investment broker, bought Shezoneoftheboyz three weeks ago after the filly had won from the Templeton stable of Neil Munro.
He transferred Shezoneoftheboyz to Burnham trainer Mark Jones, who had her in front throughout the mile on Saturday.
"Craig Demmler is Mr Chambers' trainer in Australia and he came over and trialled Shezoneoftheboyz before the sale. They bought Alexis from our stable and she has done well in Australia," Jones said.
"I will give her a break before preparing her for the Trotting Oaks and Derby. She may go to Australia for the same races."
Jones had driven Tony H to win the Hambletonian for Tremain Thorby in 2002.
Shezoneoftheboyz is a half-sister by Brylin Boyz to King Charlie, the winner of 11 races.
She is the second foal of Hands And Heels (by Jaguar Spur).
Jones produced Crystal Star and Telemecanique to finish second and third behind Tact Lizzie in the group one New Zealand Breeders' Stakes at Addington on Friday night.
They will contest the NZ Mares' Championship on Thursday night.
"I am looking at taking one of them to Sydney for the Ladyship Stakes (April 25).
At this stage, it looks like Crystal Star," Jones said.
Jumanji Franco, trained by Steven McRae, had her other win in a $30,000 NZ Trotting Stakes for 2yr-olds at Addington in May 2008.
Terror To Love added the NZ Sapling Stakes to a long list of wins for Christchurch owner Terry McDonald.
Terror To Love was well-rated in front by Jim Curtin for trainers Graham and Paul Court.
McDonald bred Terror To Love.
The Western Terror-Love To Live colt, is a half-brother to Bad All Over, winner of eight races for McDonald from the Court stable before being sold to Australia.
Stunin Cullen has been a big winner for McDonald from the Tim Butt and Phil Anderson stable.
