Roxburgh trainers Geoff and Jude Knight have high hopes for Sonia Ellen in race 10 on the 14-race programme at Winton today.
"Sonia Ellen has done really well since her last-start win," Jude Knight said.
The 3yr-old filly won over a mile in 1.58.7 at Winton on February 10 when having her fourth start.
She is among seven horses the Knights have engaged at Winton. The stable has won 19 races this season, six fewer than their total for last season.
Winsome Caesar, the winner of three races, including her last start, has been sold out of the stable to Shane Sanderson, the Queensland horseman, who drove her in work on Tuesday.
He has also bought Whekau, a winner for owner-trainer Dan Cummings at Cromwell in January.
Lake View (race 2) transferred to the Invercargill stable of Murray Brown after his last-start win at Winton on February 10. The shift from the Winton stable of Lauren Pearson had been planned. His part-owner, Barry Taylor, is in the ownership of the Brown-trained Hokuri Handrail.
