Racing: Dream it wins fresh up

Dreamit returned to racing with an impressive win at Rangiora on Saturday.

The 3yr-old trotter, trained by Leo O'Reilly, had not raced since finishing third to Chocolate Brownie and Topnotch Dream in the Yearling Sales Trot at Addington in March.

He had finished third to Shezoneoftheboyz and Vulcan in the Hambletonian at Ashburton the previous month.

The 3yr-old pacing filly, Takeiteasyonme, was an easy winner when having her first start.

Trained by David and Catherine Butt, she is by Elsu and the first foal of the Presidential Ball mare, Come Away With Me.

The stable also won first up with Prince Lee, a 3yr-old who qualified at Ashburton seven weeks ago.

• Amazing Art won a heat of the Australasian Breeders' Crown for 2yr-old colts and geldings in 2.30.2 for the 2000m (mobile).

He won by two and a-half lengths.

Bute Falcon won the heat for fillies in 2.40.2.

She won by a length from Paradise City.

It was the first win in four starts for Bute Falcon, a daughter of Falcon Seelster-Bute Sister, trained by Gavin Smith.

Bute Falcon ran second at Forbury Park last Tuesday.

Paradise City won the Caduceus Club Classic at Alexandra Park in April.

• De Lovely, an easy winner of the Australian Oaks at Melton on Friday night, was on a flight back to New Zealand last night, The New Zealand Herald reports.

De Lovely ran the 2240m (mobile) in 2.43.5 (1.57.5 mile rate) and won by 4.3m.

She ran her last mile in 1.55.

Trained by Geoff Small for the Les Girls No 2 syndicate, De Lovely has won eight races, including the New Zealand Oaks, Harness Jewels and Ladyship Stakes from 16 starts.

She joins Pullover Brown (2003) and One Dream (2007) as a winner of the New Zealand and Australian Oaks.

She is in a heat of the Australasian Breeders' Crown at Cambridge on Thursday.

Small plans to take her back to Melbourne two days before the semifinals of the Breeders' Crown next month.

She had travelled to Melbourne last Wednesday.

The filly Jingling Silver won the Victoria Trotters' Derby at Maryborough yesterday.

Jingling Silver (Conch Deville-Le Memoir) ran the 2690m (mobile) in a 2.04.2 rate.

The filly Arizona Blue won the race last year.

Miami H spoilt his chance when he left stride early.

Mr Feelgood won the Sunshine Sprint at Albion Park on Saturday night in a 1.54.3 rate for the 1660m.
