The horse is raced by Campbell with Christchurch breeder Ian Dobson.
"It is good for Michael as I got him into the ownership. I have played a bit of golf with him," Dobson said.
Cambo has won four races, but he was off the winning list for 12 months until Westport last Saturday following severe ringworm.
"He had a bad case of ringworm and it affected him so badly that he was lying down in the paddock," Dobson.
"It took him a while to get his strength back and he was not finishing off his races."
Cambo is trained by Robert Dunn, who won the Reefton Cup last year with Niraadi.
He also won the race with Lucky in 2003.
Cambo was driven by the stable junior driver Tim Williams.
Cambo (Falcon Seelster-Electrofying Franco) is a brother to Lynne Falcon, winner of five races for Dobson.
• Bob Negus, the 80-year -old Broadfield owner-trainer, won with Julio Chavez at Reefton yesterday.
• Littorio is progressing well towards his comeback in the C F Orr Stakes in February, AAP reports.
His career was interrupted by bone soreness, a condition trainer Nigel Blackiston said was caused by racing on hard tracks in the spring of 2008.
Nom du Jeu, the 2008 AJC Derby winner, had the same ailment and he has been retired..
Now a 5yr-old, Littorio has not raced since April.
"He's stepping along nicely in his work. He has been back for over a couple of months,' Blackiston said.
"By the time he races he'll have been in work for nearly four months.
"He jarred up so badly after the 2008 Melbourne Cup. The hard tracks are my main concern."
Littorio won the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington in 2008 and finished fifth as favourite in the Caulfield Cup that year.
