It was almost 22 years to the day since Barclay (39) had his first race drive. He drove his first winner, Dougie Wood, at Westport in December, 1989 after his first drive on September 15 that year at Addington.
Dougie Wood was trained by Barclays father, Keith, at Gore.
Brent had 48 wins in eight seasons as a junior driver.
The Winton-based Barclay has a best tally of 44 wins in the 2006-07 season and a total of 5144 drives.
• Dexter Dunn is back driving Pattisun at the Oamaru Harness Racing Club meeting tomorrow.
Dunn drove Pattisun in three of his five wins last season at Oamaru, Invercargill and Wyndham.
Waikouaiti trainer Andrew Faulks drove Pattisun in his other two wins at Oamaru and Winton. Pattisun has been placed in his two starts in a fresh campaign.
• My Man Dan, who has not raced for 11 months, is now in the Loburn stable of David Gaffaney. My Man Dan, the winner of nine races, won the Marlborough, Waikouaiti and Hororata Cups in 2010 when trained by Mark Jones.
• The Forbury Park Trotting Club meeting scheduled for Saturday, November 5 has been switched to the previous night.
Saturday night meetings in New Zealand have been rescheduled with Tabcorp Australia discontinuing betting on the meetings. The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club has chosen to continue with an Easter meeting on Saturday night, April 7.
