Bettors Creek is the class horse

Bettors Creek should prove a class above his six rivals in race 4 at Forbury Park tonight, 40 minutes after his stablemate Texican attempts to extend his winning sequence to four at Alexandra Park.

The 3yr-olds are among top prospects for West Melton trainer Cran Dalgety at the two venues.

Bettors Creek has a record of four wins and two placings in seven starts since he began racing four months ago. He has won three times at Addington and a mile in 1.56.1 at Ashburton. He ran third to Mark Dennis and Canardly Lover in a Sires' Stakes heat and eighth in the Final won by Texican at Addington on November 8.

Mark Jones has the drive tonight with first reinsman for the stable, Dexter Dunn, in Auckland to drive Texican and others.

Texican, a winner at Alexandra Park as a 2yr-old, has drawn favourably in the Northern Stakes when he will clash with Smolda, winner of his last three starts.

The Dalgety-trained Wotavugot, unbeaten in two starts at Forbury Park, begins a fresh campaign in a restricted free-for-all there tonight.

Brent Barclay is the new driver of Sky Pilot (race 8) at Forbury Park.

Nathan Williamson, who drove Sky Pilot to a fresh-up win at Gore on Tuesday, is making the trip to Auckland to drive Springbank Richard and Springbank Sam.
