You are never too old to be the top dog.
Sir Bob Charles, playing in a par three tournament today, in a prelude to the NZ Open, scored a hole in one this afternoon.
His ace was recorded on the ninth hole, which is part of a new par three course, built by Sir Michael Hill.
Charles (82), a four time NZ Open winner, no longer plays seriously but was keen to be involved in the celebrations this week in Arrowtown, where the 100th NZ Open will start tomorrow.
