St Clair continues to lead the men's Senior A pennant series after beating Chisholm Links 4-2 on the links course on Saturday.
The win gives St Clair its third win from as many outings with nine points and 13 games, ahead of Otago Blue on six points and 9.5 games.
Otago Gold is in third place with four points and 9 games.
St Clair's tail all won with good margins. No6 Chris Snow downed Peter Rae on the 15th green.
Club juniors Jakob Bleach and Jacob Bellamy were making their debut this year and both won their games on the 16th green.
Bleach turned one down to Chisholm captain Mark Collie but he struck form on the homeward nine with birdies on 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16 to take the honours.
Brent McEwan had his third win of the series, giving St Clair its vital fourth win, beating Links veteran Sean Geary on the final green.
St Clair captain Chris Snow was pleased with the younger players, who will be required to hold the fort for the next two rounds while five of the St Clair squad are on a golf tour in Australia.
For Chisholm Links, Cody McMullan at No1 beat Ryan Bellamy while Conor Jamison won the final hole to beat Connor Ross in his last match before departing for Canada this week.
Playing at home, Island Park had its first win of the series, beating North Otago 4-2.
Andrew Hobbs and Michael Wray both posted good wins.
Monty Wong (No2) and captain Michael Minty (No5) both won on the 17th green to get their team home.
Jonathan MacKay (No1) and former Otago representative Simon Hollyer (No4) won for the Oamaru team.
Otago Blue beat the club's B team, Otago Gold, 4-2.
Brandon Hodgson won at No1 while Tyrone Ratahi (No4) also had a convincing win.
The Otago Blue tail of Daniel Elder and Ben Patson got the team home.
For the Otago Gold team, Will Young was the star with birdies at 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10, giving Luke Murdoch little chance in a match which finished on the 11th green.
The closest match was between former Canterbury representative Jason Yoo and Balmacewen veteran Murray Edgar.
Edgar birdied the 17th hole to get back to square and took the honours when Yoo three-putted from the back apron on the final hole.
