Decent finish for Otago sides

Otago made a decent finish to the national interprovincial championships in Christchurch yesterday.

Otago men were too strong for Southland, with a 4.5-0.5 win.

Otago No 2 Duncan Croudis has a four and three victory and No 5 Ben Patston won three and two.

Both Otago No 3 Ricky Kang and No 4 Phil Bungard had one-up victories.

Otago then had a narrow 3-2 loss to Waikato in the afternoon.

Croudis won his game four and three and Kang won three and two.

Otago women halved their final two games of the tournament.

They played Bay of Plenty in the morning, and Otago No 1 Yoonae Jeong and No 2 Amber Boyce both won their games 4 and 3.

In the afternoon, Otago played Aorangi where Jeong won her match 6 and 5 and No 5 Sophia Park had an eight and seven win.

North Harbour plays Wellington and Auckland play Canterbury in the women’s semifinals this morning.

Auckland faces Wellington and Canterbury will play Bay of Plenty in the men’s semifinals.
