Roslyn unearthed its best form of the season to dominate Technical for an hour, as Cameron's goal was added to by Brad Johnstone, who hit a piledriver shot to make the score 2-0 after 68 minutes.
Coach Colin Thom's side might have doubled its score, missing two open goals earlier, as Technical's normally reliable defence was in tatters.
Roslyn was first to the ball, won more headers and second phase play, and in central midfield Mike Cunningham put on a master class in calm control and quality passing, while brother Aajay burned miles in midfield jinking past tackles and spreading play.
Tom Connor used wide pace to deliver telling crosses, James Govan battled in the middle, and Sam Mepham was his usual mix of class and clatter.
The Roslyn defence patiently stroked passes around, Tim Mather and James Watson were rarely troubled, and predictably when they were, it was Aaron Burgess slicing through in the 43rd minute and forcing a top one-on-one save by keeper Peter Evans.
Technical's only other threats were several corners whipped in at the near post by Justin Flaws, which Roslyn found difficult to clear.
In the final 20 minutes, Technical coach Mike Fridge, with nothing to defend, pushed more players forward, and fresh legs started to create gaps in the Roslyn ranks.
A towering header from Matt Joy eventually got past keeper Evans to narrow the score to 2-1, and Roslyn supporters perched on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
Roslyn coach Thom, who had a bare 11 players for the start of the game, praised their skills and total commitment.
"There is no way I could name a man of the match. We had 11 of them," Thom said.
Fridge graciously said that Roslyn was the better team on the day.
"I knew they would come at us. It was a six-pointer for them, and they did well."
Some salve for Technical was Caversham only drawing 1-1 with Spirit FC in Invercargill, after goals by Darren Overton and Spirit's Andrew Ridden.
Technical still leads the FPL with 21 points, followed by Mosgiel on 19, and Caversham tying with Roslyn on 17 points.
Mosgiel overcame stiff resistance from Green Island before going on to win 4-1 with goals from Morgan Day, Tim Dunn, Steve Kibby and Regan Coldicott.
Queenstown moved up into fifth place after beating Grants Braes 3-2 in Central Otago, with goals from Darren Mills, Anthony O'Rourke and Matt Small. Braes' goals came from a Shannon Cox penalty and Joh Mpondo.
The early University v Northern match at the Caledonian was abandoned after 18 minutes, when a University player collapsed.
