Footballsouth Premier League leader Dunedin Technical will meet bottom club Grants Braes in its penultimate game of the season today.
The Tahuna Park fixture will have Technical searching for three valuable points and a good dress rehearsal before a potentially title-deciding match against second-placed Roslyn-Wakari at Ellis Park next Saturday.
Technical looked sharp in its Thursday training session at De Carle Park and has a near full-strength squad available for selection, with only striker Richard Smith unavailable due to a niggling calf injury.
Grants Braes has struggled all season but will be buoyed by its last performance against Mosgiel. It held the Plainsmen to a 0-0 draw and had a number of chances to score its second victory of the season.
Talented Braes midfielder Patrick Ebanda is suspended after picking up his seventh yellow card of the season, and several players are in doubt due to illness.
Roslyn-Wakari will travel to Memorial Park to take on seventh-placed Mosgiel.
Roslyn will need to keep winning to maintain the pressure on Technical and will have a strong team available for selection. A rested James Watson will be back in the mix following time on the sidelines due to suspension.
Mosgiel coach Mike McGarry will field a full-strength team for the encounter.
Caversham will make the trek to Waverley Park in Invercargill to play Old Boys, placed ninth in the league and missing Raul Loazia due to work commitments.
Caversham will have Andrew Ridden unavailable due to suspension, after collecting his fifth yellow, while goalkeeper Liam Little will not make the trip due to work commitments. His replacement will be understudy Zane Officer, who has looked comfortable at this level.
Caversham central defender Jude Fitzpatrick will travel but is still a doubtful starter due to a corked thigh, and Bradley Scott will be sidelined due to injury.
In the final match of the round, Green Island will host Northern in a mid-table clash at Sunnyvale.
Green Island will be without the suspended Dan Rutter and Liam Dungey but will otherwise take a full squad into today's game.
Northern will be without central defender Mike Scott, who is out of town, while talented midfielder Zin Khant Aung will miss the match due to university graduation commitments.
In the annual end-of-season fixture, Fletcher Cup champion Mosgiel will take on second-placed Caversham for the Chinese Charity Cup in an early kick-off at the Caledonian Ground.
