Adelaide United have asked Football Federation Australia to postpone some of their A-League games so the team can focus on their looming Asian Champions League semifinal.
United last night advanced to the semis with a 1-0 victory over Japanese champions Kashima Antlers at Hindmarsh Stadium.
The Reds will now face Uzbekistan outfit Bunyodkor over two legs on October 8 and October 22.
Adelaide coach Aurelio Vidmar said today the club wants some of its domestic fixtures postponed.
Adelaide have A-League games scheduled on October 3, October 17 and October 26.
"Certainly there is going to be a big look at postponing those games or some games if we can," Vidmar said.
"It's going to be a pretty hard ask.
"Whenever the situation rises that we can have a big gap in between games, that would be the best option for us."
