Appleby are the Southland 50-over Club Cricket champions for the third consecutive year after beating Waikoikoi by one run in the grand final yesterday.
The final was originally scheduled for Saturday but the weather intervened and the cricket was postponed until yesterday.
Appleby won the toss and elected to bat first at Queens Park but got off to a rough start.
Opening batsman Jamie Clark was bowled out for one run in his 310th game.
Captain Sam Downing was out for a duck in his 133rd game.
Zach Harrington and Rob Leishman were the top scorers for the Rams with just 17 runs each.

Ryan McFaul took five wickets for 28 runs from his 10 overs and Jared McKenzie took three wickets for 11 runs.
After an excellent performance in the field there was confidence in the Waikoikoi camp of earning an upset victory.
The first three Waikoikoi batsmen were then dismissed for just one run combined.
The experienced batsmen Jared McKenzie (14) and Kurt Thompson (22) patiently tried to rebuild the innings.
Kieran Lloyd took the important wickets of Thompson and the dangerous Jason Osborne (6).
With Waikoikoi requiring one more run to draw level and two runs to win, Appleby’s Aaron Hart took the 10th wicket.
Lloyd finished with four wickets for 22 runs from his 10 overs.
Aaron Hart took four wickets for 13 runs from 7.4 overs.
