Police have found a body believed to be an 81-year-old man reported missing in Invercargill.
A police spokesman said police located a body in the Ōreti River earlier today.
"While formal identification processes are yet to be completed, it is believed to be the missing 81-year-old man.
"The family of the missing man have been notified," the spokesman said.
The death would be referred to the coroner, he said.
The Otago Daily Times earlier reported the man was last seen at about 1.15pm on Monday at his home address, and due to his limited mobility he was believed to be in the Fosbender Park area of Sandy Point.
