Two-car crash in Invercargill

Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the main street of Invercargill today.

A police spokeswoman said one car was present at the scene on the corner of Dee and Tay Sts when police arrived about 1.30pm.

They could not confirm whether or not the other driver had fled the scene.

A reporter at the scene said one of the vehicles involved appeared to have driven into the back of another car.

No injuries had been reported and the road remained open.

Police had no further comment.
